WD Passport ultra password

Hi,
I would need someones help with a problem that unintentionally came up the other dag.
I was cleaning up My dad's computer and reinstalled it from Factory defaults. However, first I backed up the data om a WD Passport Ultra.
Now the problem.... When I try to recall the data fr.o.m. The WD disk, it prompts me for a Smartware password and I'm quite sure I didn't set any... I have tried all the possible ones just in case I'd forgotten I did, but it doesn't work.
Does anyone have any suggestion hos to proceed? Is it possible?

First of all, try connecting the drive directly to the computer and not through a USB hub.

If that does not work, try the other USB ports in your computer.
