Tools for hard drive diagnostics, repair, and data recovery

Hi,
I found MHDD (cool program) and i am trying to clone data from a "bad" hard drive that i cannot do data recovery from to a good hard drive that i might be able to do data recovery on. (not sure if MHDD can do this)
But i found the ATOF command. The problem i am having is there is no way to select a destination. so when it starts it tries to put the data on C:/ which is a ram drive (so small) and it fills the drive and errors out.
Any suggestion?
Thanks
Mike

On a scale of 1 to 10, where 10 is highest, how important is the data?

Ddrescue (freeware) is far better suited for cloning a "bad" drive.
