Tools for hard drive diagnostics, repair, and data recovery

I am aware that someone has been working on a windows app that is very similar in function. For those who, like me, are just looking for a fast simple way to provide a customer with an update of the recovery results mid progress or wish to provide them with a final report for client verification before saving the files to destination, I threw this together for all to use.
https://recoveryforce.com/pc3k-to-html/If you have an issue with a particular file, please report it to the email on the site.

Newly added. You can now import the .acerep file to generate an html file where the customer makes the selection of target files and folders and saves them to a new .roa file that can then be imported back into DE.
This will help overcome the need for a customer to have windows so that they can run the Data Extractor Viewer.

There was a glitch with saving out the selection to the .roa file which I have fixed.

I just added the ability to convert the attr.map and head.map into a an html page with a full image representation of the image map. This is a great way to show customers a visual of the damage to the drive image.

Here are a few screenshots of the generated reports....obviously with the Recovery Force branding that you can change.

I had someone suggest this yesterday and I couldn't resist adding it. Now you can flip from a single grid of the map to a platter representation.

Very interesting, Luke. I'm currently making my own DR job manager and features-wise I want to integrate a file listing with a case check like on the R-studio report. Well done.

I have one in the works that already allows rstuduo, ufs and pc300 reports and tile selections directly within the client interface. When they save their selection, it immediately notifies the active tech.

For those using R-Studio for imaging, with or without DeepSpar Stabilizer/RapidSpar, I've added the ability to convert the R-Studio html report to my report format, with your own custom branding, so that your customer can quickly find where the damaged files are and know the number of good and bad files.

For those who save split the good and damaged files into separate paths when saving out using UFS or PC3000 DE, I've added the ability to convert a dos text file generated from the "dir /s /a > output.txt" into a similar report.

As with R-Studio, UFS reports have been added, with the ability to enable customer file selection.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention that the system works in a lot of languages for those of you around the world who aren't likely to have customers speaking English. If I missed your language and you would like it added, send me a PM.

I've implemented the r-studio support in my app, but I would like to add the roa extension support. the client doesn't have to download anything and has a portal to check the status of the case.

For those of you, like me, who do provide reports for resellers to show their clients, I've created a branding json file for them myself. But, to make it easier, I created a link where you can get the reseller to create their own branding json file exactly how they want it and send it to you use in the future.
