SCSI Hard Drive CAPACITY

Hard Drive CAPACITY CHANGE for non seagate drives

seagate drives i can do with seatools
IDE i can do with mhdd

Other make SCSI drives i can not

Anyone HELP ???

Mode sense command does this

Actually, if I remember correctly, MHDD restores full HDD capacity when you ussie a SCSI low level format command (i do not recall what is the command, sorry, but you can try to issue a HELP command to find out :-)

i think that is for IDE drives not SCSI

I can do it wth SEAGATE SCSI drives just not other makes and i need to

Well i have RTFM and can not see any thing in there about changeing HDD capacity on SCSI drive

Need this as the drives i have are set to 4Gb and the drive is a 20Gb so this is the only way it can be done.

SEAGATE drives have a tool to do this but i can not find it to do other drives

so again please help

Anyway, you could change capacity with Mode Select command, try to find program for sending SCSI commands (For example, Bus Hound can send SCSI-command to a SCSI-drive, I beleive there are many other programs)
Read SCSI-standard (from t10.org) for Mode Select and Mode Sense command and do this
After changing capacity you should start SCSI format (every SCSI controller with BIOS can do this)

If you cannot understand these things - pay somebody for this job
