Cannot Detect SATA

Hi,

I am using a MSI VIA P4M890/900 Board which is an Intel Core 2 Pentium system.

It seems that when I attached a SATA HDD to it and run MHDD, MHDD does not detect the drive. Any advice?

But when I switch it to RAID on the Bios setting it was able to detect it but it runs on the PIO mode which is very slow. I need the speed of processing especially when running those big capacity drive.

MHDD running at PIO speeds is a known issue for all chipsets newer than early 2002!

I can tell that it is, because the erase command is slow!

MHDD erases at PIO speeds with my Asus A7N8X-X (nForce2) and MSI 845E Max. (Intel 845E)

But it was at UDMA speeds with an old Intel 810-based Gateway.
