Tools for hard drive diagnostics, repair, and data recovery

Hi everyone,
I'm working on unlocking a HGST Ultrastar 7K6000 6TB SAS drive (model HUS726060AL4210) that's currently locked under firmware A519. I’m looking for a dump of the A907 firmware (either full SPI or just the microcode segment) so I can build a hybrid image.
I'm aware that I’ll need to merge the A907 microcode with my drive’s A519 adaptives to keep the calibration data intact — I have tools like dd, cat, flashrom, and a CH341A programmer ready.
Here’s what I’ve got:
- Model: HUS726060AL4210
- P/N: 0F22790
- Current FW: A519 (locked)
- Interface: SAS 12Gb/s
- Original SPI dump already extracted and backed up
If anyone has a working A907 dump from a similar 6TB model (AL4210 or AL5210), I’d be super grateful. This is strictly for personal archival use — just trying to bring some solid SAS drives back to life
Thanks in advance!

Can you upload your SPI dump? Are you aware that most of the firmware is on the platters ("discware")?

I haven't received my SPI clip yet, so I don't have the dump available yet - but I'll share it once I'm able to extract it.
When I first posted this, I actually planned to dump the SPI that same evening - but I later realized that my SOIC clip was damaged, so I couldn't proceed right away.
I've got a replacement on the way, and as soon as I receive it, I'll do the full SPI read and share the dump (with adaptives redacted). Thanks again for your help and
patience!

Make sure you select the correct voltage. I'm guessing it's 1.8V.

Sorry for the delay - I had to order the SPI clip three times before I could get a stable connection.
Unfortunately, even after dumping and modifying the SPI (I've tested multiple versions), the drive still doesn't work.
If you want, I can share the dumps SPI Orginal with you
Also, I noticed something interesting in the SPI: it looks like the drive is waiting for a specific LSI command before it can proceed like it's stuck in a boot loop.
Do you think simply connecting it to a Dell server (like an R520) might trigger that and unlock it?
