I don't think so. Even JPEGRecovery (u can find it !) can't do 100%

No data recovery software can recover over-written data or corrupted data.
So its useless to waste time and money for that.
If you could find any such data recovery software which recovers the over-written data then please let us know.
Thanks..

Hi Guys,
I am having a similar problem, the jpges, avi and wmv files are all there, a total of 40gb of data.
I have detected with hddlife that the hdd is damaged, zero health.
Still, I can access most of the data, would say that 90% is fine.
Problem is, I can backup them with Nero because once it finds a bad file the recording stops.
All I have been able to do so far is to move the data to another partition, what is ok moves what is damaged does not. Problem is, it takes forever!
Any idea on how I can recover the corrupted files? Again, they have not been deleted nor overwritten.
Jpeg recovery did not help.
Norton Disk Doctor 2007 did not help (stucks at 16%).
Handy Recovery and Avi fixer did not help.
If they are not recoverable, how can I save the data that is good, without having to move directory by directory to determine it?
Thanks a lot,
Marc.

Hi if you want to use nero try setting ignore read errors & ignore sector errors. You'd probably be better using ontrack or a software that's made for imaging from damaged disks to get an image from this drive.

Hi Rameez,
Any suggestion for these media tools you mentioned?
Shortscurcuits
Great tip for the Nero, I forgot about this option.
Image files seems to be a good idea too.
Thanks,
Marc.
