Hi...
Being a newbie in this forum ...Sorry for my english..
Only recently I have found MHDD to analyse some strange problems
with a dying Samsung HDD HM100JC ..
I have an PROMISE FASTTRAK 100 Lite controller.
MHDD 4.6 reports the correct SAMSUNG HDD but
if I try to select it in order to anaylse it ( number 6 ) in the menu it simply disappears in the next screen refresh ...
if I try to ID it it reports "Device not ready" ...
sometimes if I press shift + f2 I get the correct info ...?!?
It seems it is randomly appearing and disappearing... !??!
What could be happening ?
Does MHDD be able to estabilize it ?

Any ideas are welcome...

MHDD won't help you to correct that problem. MHDD is a diagnostic tool.

I would first replace the cable to the hard disk.
