R-studio Technician is costing $80

It isn't.

Its too too costly for anyone

Solve one complex RAID case or some NAS case that can not be done with some other tool and it already paid for itself.

Yes for mid size data recovery companies who get regular raid recovery cases that is true. For smaller companies & individuals that is not the case.
Cheap cloud has replaced 90% of corporate work & servers . Recovery from SSD is not possible using any software /hardware.
You will have to renew subscription every year for a raid case which may come once in 4 years.
Considering changed business dynamics of DR industry this price is high.

you can use the sw version latest to your support period unlimited even after the support expired, you only need to buy new if you need the new features. At least that's how it worked in the past...

for RAID cases you can use UFS RAID, commercial license is 219 Euros. You're constantly muddying the waters by comparing non comparable products and scenarios. I am using it with a license that expired moths ago, I just need to be careful not to click "yeah let's get that latest update".

UFS Explorer pays for itself 5x in a year.
If you know what you're doing, that is.
