Hey guys,

I have a quick question:

Is there any data recovery software that can regenerate translators, besides DE?
Something where I can buy 2 or 3 of, without having to trade in my car

Also, DE is limited to FAT and NTFS, but what about other partitions?

Thanks

Dobre,

Yes that's right I forgot HFS, but what about an alternative product? I am primarly looking for software that can create virtual translator for NTFS. Is there anything else out there? I want to have two or 3 stations with this capability. After all, mapping out the MFT should not be that difficult( but difficult enough that I don't want to code it)

Hi Quasimodo,

What do you mean by translator ? Its not in the sense of the translators on harddisk-level that you mean if I understand well.

Hi Dobre,

I don't mean translator for SA and Data area. I am talking about the mapping of the files in the file system. When there is a shift in MFT (NTFS) or FAT (FAT32) with DE you can create a virtual translator to fix the shift of the pointers in the file table.
I wanted to know if there is any other software that can accomplish this. besides DE and maybe BVG.

Thanks
