Hi All,

I have an old hard disk using HP UNIX 11, VxFS file system. The only program that i can see cost about $800 US Dollars made by Stellar Pheonix.

Anybody know of any other programs that can recover data from this file system but cheaper?

Thanks.
Zed

Hi Zed

I think Nucleus do something - I know I've had a few really, really old SCSI drives with obscure UX-type filesystems.

Nucleus Technologies are best for this type of problem

we use it all the time for mac drives

I find Nucleus tools really poor, they always seem to crash/freeze and are not very user friendly (no reporting/log while it's saving). I try to avoid them if possible. A quick look at their web site shows they do not support the HP-UX file system. Thanks for the suggestions, their tools are cheaper than Stellar though so that would have been good if it was going to work. Their demo of their simialr products did not detect the file system on the disk i have here.
