Most of the (free) utilities that can do fasterase or send ATA commands only work on a standard IDE controller

Any utility that can send FASTERASE (and the temporary password setting) to a SATA drive ?

Buy an adaptor sata to ide and your problem is solved. If you can not find your program make your SATA drive an IDE problem solved
