Hello to all, I am try to get some files from a SCSI disk 36GB, that the File System is "Ext" I can get a lot off files but with RS it give-me about 5.0EB but the disk just have 36GB. With winhex also i can not see the partition. i try also N.Kernel, and UFS. I get a lot off folders "Inode" Need an opinion from anyone that have worked like this. Thanks ZeBong |

I don't know about the original scenario, but maybe you can do a full image, and you can try the fsck on it. Fsck works much more better than scandisk, so it is worth a try on an image... EXTs haves a lot of backup superblocks and you can try the repair from any of these. Additonally, you can try fs debugger under linux. Janos |

Thanks to all, What i have made. - Image the Drive. - Them working on the image with the RS. - Try to use other Programs also. i think i need a linux machine for this cases. will make it Thanks ZeBong |

Don't bother with a Linux machine. Just create a bootable USB key with Linux installed on it. The link below takes you to a page on the LiveUSB Creator. https://fedorahosted.org/liveusb-creator/ Just download the program & run it. Let it download the necessary Linux files off the web and set at least 1GB of space for user data. This will allow you to download and install your own custom applications & save the settings. Now you can run Linux on pretty much any system that allows you to boot from a USB key. |

Yes, this is another one solution, but a little bit limited. Anyway, this can be good for this case as well. |

1. RS has the mask option where you can mask out files by their size 2. If you get lots of Inode folders that would mean you didn't copy the whole drive or FS is corrupted |

Yes this case the FS was corrupted. |
