I am looking for a software to compare either two or even more drive images (files).

1st to compare 2 drives / drive with image / Image (file) with image (file)
- to proof that they are definitely identical.

2nd to compare image files of number X whether they contain in some
parts the same data. I.e. to check the image files out of a raid whether some
or all of them contain the same data (parts) - when they have been overwritten
(tampered) "by coincidence"....

thank you

Hi,

I haven't worked much with UE, but I don't feel that it will do the job.

If the comparison is just for the approximate results, you can try the file comparison, but if it has to be done in a manner, where accuracy is a concern (as you said, "to proof that they are definitely identical"), so currently, when it comes to "Prooving" the files Identicality, only MD5 and SHA1 have been accepted by various forensic professional/Legal Matters...However it takes a bit of time to compute the hash, but results are universally accurate.

You can do it with the software you already have.. :)

I sent you a PM..check that..

I don't know (never needed such option)
This soft has many abilities
Just get eval copy and try

Good thing it can compare folders with files and show you the differences in the files if you double-click on it
