Hi all, wondered if anyone can help:

After rebuilding a SoftRaid linux from a Lacie 2Big Ethernet disk in XFS I get an unusual result. I can browse most of the folders, however there are some whose type is "Not resolved".

Detailed specs:
2 x Seagate 500GB drives. XFS main partition in SoftRAID JBOD.
I have tried other RAID configurations just in case (RAID 0) but they do not work and result as an 'error'.

When I view the XFS partition in the first disk in the set (Partition size 464GB) I can view the folder structure but with some folders being "Not resolved". When I rebuild the RAID array to get a total partition size of 931GB I get the same result. It suggests they are not linking together as they should.

I am using version 3.12 of UFS Explorer. On the version of 3.15.3 The "Not Resolved" folders do not show at all.

Has one seen this error before or know how to resolve it.
All the best,
John

This means that the information in the XFS filesystem to locate the files is missing due to some kind of corruption.
Had this on several occasions also.

Have you tested any files to see if you have correct raid parameters?

Did you allow the scan to run to completion?

This is necessary with UFS Explorer, and aborting the search early often gives you "unresolved" issues.

Anyone have any luck with this? I have two at the moment with this issue. I suspect that the second disk has a number of sectors that are offset from the beginning, but I am unable to find out how many. i have tried several combinations, but none seem to work. I we could only see the hex for the directories, I would be able to see how much they are offset by. Anyone know of any other software that sees xfs?

Find this metadata on each drive (the end precedes of this sector) . This will help you correctly bridge the JBOD.

Still no luck. There is a partition table on the first drive, but the second drive is blank until sector 1006592 where there is another XFS BS. I tried to use this to join the two disks, but no luck.
