I was wondering if anyone does a database or simple program for logging DR jobs, i.e contact details and drive type from drop down box etc.

most I.T related software would be to complex and overkill

anyone do one?

andy

Just with minor adjustments in the use of it, we do it online and for free: http://www.pivotaltracker.com/.
This is enough for us, and we can access it from every location in the world. We try to keep things not directly doing recoveries themself to a low-cost but with adiquate functionality, and this does the job for us. OK, it is not written for this use, but who cares if it works?

thank you for this link it sure looks good

If you guys want, I could come up with a filemaker database for this. I've developed roughly the same thing for computer repair firms that keeps up with repair information on each PC.

PM me and let me know if your interested. If I can gather up enough interest I'd love to do it.

I posted a link in another discussion, but thought it might be worth posting here. Check out http://www.webhelpdesk.com/ and talk to Kevin Hammon (x2826) to find out more about pricing.
