Is there a way to turn off ecc in media tools (or somewhere else) so it always ignores the ecc instead of only the last retry?
Because it only seems to be able to read the sectors when ecc is diabled, for large portions of my drive that is.

Thanks.

I have already done that, I want to turn it off for good.
Or might this not be a smart idea?
