What can you do with files of sectors read by MHDD - is there any cheapware that can somehow allow you to extract the file(s) you're after from the MHDD output files?
thanks

If you are referring to sectors from the normal user data part of the drive, then I would suggest other scanning tools such as Restorer2000 or R-Studio etc
and use them to read the drive sectors directly
They have free demo vesions

If you mean sectors read from non-standard / SA areas of the disk (after sending vendor specific commands to access them), then the answer is the contents are vendor specific and nothing generic you can do with them

I have a similar question.

Anyone know how to use the series of image files MHDD made with ATOF... to transfer onto the donor?

I would of thought the BINs had embedded Sector addresses; or MHDD could use the LOG to auto address their respected starting location..
but the log doesn't even have the Start points for the files.. after I BREAK'D
when 8 (2GB) files were made...
Now, I have to manually figure the starting points out.. and FF them (other than batching.). the problem is MHDD isn't clear about what the "sector/LBA" means... START or ENDING? when it Atofs...
For example you ATOF'd starting 11,264,000 but it lists 13,361,374 as the ending point.. or the start point of the next?
while on the 2nd donor another test run reveals 13,361,495 after it says Opening:....
I don't want to cause a shift... and the patient is d34d. No what? How do I reassemble the bins? there should be an AFF :?: as there is a ATOF... butt I guess not.
Anyone have any guidance on this? PM me if need be. Thnks!
