i had my hard drive which i accidentally dropped down.i tried to repair it .it was producing tit tit sound.after repair,it is seen using the device manager as an external drive but when you check properties it reads zero mbs.it is an external hard drive.it can not be seen when you use my computer icon.am using Windows xp.pliz assist me i want it working.by now it is fine but reads zero mbs

Hi,
What do you mean by you tried to repair it?
Did you open the drive?
Windows is unable to see the partition that is why it dosn't show in My computer.
You need to carefully test the drive with Mhdd or Victoria. Then post the results.
I must also point out you have posted in the wrong section and should have posted in the data recovery and repair forum.

That dosn't look good!
So if you want help you better start off by describing EXACTLY what you did. Stage by stage!

I would suggest to do the obvious!
