Ive just cloned the HDD 80gb with mechanical problems it seemed due to clicking sounds. I dont know if the hdd was empty or not, but I cannot open up the partition in windows NTFS, both the source and destination was the same ntfs. When checking the size it says 0bytes free 0bytes total disk space.

Any explanation for this?

DDrescue cloned the 80gb hdd in 8 hours and the error size was 5000 MB but ended only at 800 KB after it was trimming the failed blocks.

:(

p.s this clone was for testing purposes only, but that dont make any difference, i really wanna know why it shows 0 bytes?

thx in advance

Nevermind I solved it, just recovery tool to bypass that problem. I thought i asked my friend to do it and he said he did but got no results.. so i had to do it myself once again just to realise his lazy butt did not do anything on it.
My bad, i assumed he did that already so thats why I was bit stumbled how come it couldnt find any files. So I thought there were some other type of tools that I needed to use excluding ordinary recovery suh as "Recover my files or get data back"

Thx for the reply
