What is this??

------------
199 UltraDMA CRC Error Count 200 200 00000000-003C 000
------------

Im using HDDScan and I get this error on the bottom of the list. Ive tried changing SATA cables but the problem still remains. Should I worry? This is my MAIN harddrive, i have everything stored on it. Everything! Is the hdd failing or what?

Is the value not 0? The last value?

That is just a DMA errors which is related to BUS transfers and not really any physical problem. It could be caused by bad cable so always good to change in case of problems.
Check other SMART values for relocation- if that is getting wild then its time to worry.

Just remember to keep a backup because not even the hard drive manufacturer only guarantees mechanical faults--- not your data..

The last value is the threshold. The raw value of the attribute is actually 0x00000000-003C. You'll have to ask the author why he has chosen to format the output in this confusing way. I suspect it's because the threshold values are stored in a separate data block.

Aye! Wasn't sure between them two? Data backed up anyway.
