It seems any SATA 3.0, and most earlier SATA spec'd drives - sometimes 3.5 but always 2.5" hard drives,(all brands - I do a lot with hdd), whether I put it into any USB interface I have bought past and current, and I have about 4 current interfaces including drive docks and other popular devices currently, and the latest 'DriveWare' interface especially fails... when I use the 'Hard Disk Low Level Format Tool' it just forces me to force quit it... because its crap... write error all sectors or Format Error or Sector Error... just scrolls out of control from the get go... I know this is a free software and I appeaciate that. I would appreciate NO questions from anyone less than 25 years in this (my) business, 25 years old... or can't wear his/her pants hair or skin righ... only those that have experienced hard drive hardware knowledge.

So if your software, (I have the latest you offer), just can't handle or 2.5" SATA 3.0 7200 rpm drives, on any 2 yr old USB interface, and I thought that was a fix you made as I saw it in your version info... then what would you or the forum recommend? I don't care about costs and I know of some... lots of dollars... I also know they are ripping people off.

Anyone got any ideas? Seems to be a USB issue... I work around it - using... (NO I haven't got the SATA external inteface ports yet...) by other means.

Sorry, first visit, and hard drives are a sensitive issue with some I know, (meaning I hope you are a professional and not a mary if you wish to answer).

Thanks Guys! P.S. 3.5 inch - no problem, the 2.5 .... usually still fail. Thanks

Maybe your 2,5 drive is damaged.
