I've never tried using a program that checks smart attributes, I'm used to using the WD, or Seagate software. But I am trying this because I came across a Toshiba and they suck and don't offer much support. Checked the wiki on SMART and curious about the reports I'm getting from not only this crappy Toshiba, but also my WD drives as well.
I have 2 1TB WD blacks, and 1 3TB WD green, and the toshiba which belongs to someone else.
SMART shows that both the Toshiba and one of my blacks has warnings at the reallocation sector count, and reallocation event count. I'm not sure how to read it though, since it seems like it is similar to my other black which shows no warnings. Also the toshiba shows current pending sector count, which none of my other drives have warnings on.

First question, is there any way to repair these bad sectors?
Second, how do I read these tables (what is the meaning of the value/worst fields)?
Third, after reading the wiki, how do I create partitions on these bad sectors to prevent the operating system from using them IF it cannot be repaired?
I'll probably think of some more questions later.

The main take-a-way here is that many bad sectors=bad or failing drive.
You don't fix a bad sector, it is merely marked bad. Can't create partitions on bad sectors.
