Hello
I am working on hdd with 2 partitions( 40gb ,190gb) which was encripted with safeboot. Then deleted 2 partitions and installed xp ghost image with newly created 30gb partition. Now looking for data from 190gb partition . I have BART-PE , and machine configaration key (*.sdb ) file, and user atentication details. These decrypting tool expecting logical drive not physical drive. Any possibility to run recovery tools to seach for ntfs data from 190gb partition with the help of machine config key and BART-PE bootable CD.
Thanks in advance for any help

Run the full drive decryption with Safeboot on the clone, then run a full scan with your data recovery program and hope that the client didn't overwrite most of their data.

You will most likely destroy more data but have you tried testdisk to try and restore the logical partiton so you can then recover from it easily?

http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk

The 30GB partition may have overwritten more data on the drive. Never recover or install anything on the drive your recovering, it only makes
things worse. If you havent destroyed the partition its possible testdisk could help you recover and re-write it but again that comes with the
cost of destroying more data.
