WD6400BEVT shown as 5000BEVT :/

Hello.

I have WD6400BEVT-00A0RT0 disk with many bad blocks. I want to return it to RMA but I have problem. My disk on the bios, HDTune or WD diagnostic program is recognised as WD5000BEVT-00A0R0 :shock: (the serial number on label is the same as on programs :roll: )I think someone modify original BIOS/Firmware. Is any chance to replace wrong software to original ? Can I do this on my home with my PC ? I search for .rom files on hddguru but I didin't find for WD6400BEVT-00A0RT0.

You can go the link bellow and enter the serial number on the hard dirve and it will tell you what its supposed to be.
