Hello thank u for your time. Ive found these roms for my hd drive http://files.hddguru.com/download/PC-30 ... UNG/F1_3D/ but ive yet to found any software to flash them... does any one know how to flash these rom. Here is more information about my situation. Ive bought 2 HDD's samsung HD753LJ, i have the same one broken down. But it has 3 heads, these one have 2, now i dont think that is any problem the PCM is exactly the same, pins everything. but it is not a spinpoint F1 F2 or F3, these are part of a server, a nas server. When i have the board connected to the F1 spinpoint, it works again only it goes to 7200 rpm clicks a couple of times then slows down. so i think if i can get this rom in this one it will work again. i am willing to try it in risk of loosing one. so if any one out there knows what tools i need please let me know. thank u |

What do you mean "broken down" and how do you know how many heads they have? You open them? You cant simply 'Flash' the drives for so many reasons. Compatibility revisions of ROM, lack of (very expensive) equipment and knowledge, probably the ROM / PCB is fine but problem is somewhere else. |

my board got fried per exident i was moving it across a metal cooling system with power on. the pcb board is the same rev, everthing is the same... it is only 4 months newer, and i think it was specialy made for a nas server. |

with the old PCB everything is dead, on any hdd ive tested it on, with the other boards the disk spins back to life, up to 7200 rpm, clicks a couple of times, then powers down. how can u say the PCB is not the problem? u think i am stupid or something?:P |

Pater429 wrote: u think i am stupid or something?:P I never said you were stupid, I said "probably" was fine based on the statement "it is broken down" which could mean absolutely anything. You think im a mind reader? |
