NEW WD HD HAVING TROUBLE

Hey Guys,

I recently purchased a 2 TB SATA drive online, when I received the hard drive I used the docking bay from my Seagate GoFlex to attach it to the computer via FIREWIRE. Everything was working perfectly, through disk utility, the drive showed up and allowed me to reformat it to Mac Journaled. After the format was complete, I ejected the harddrive and left the computer.

I came back several hours later and realized my HD wasn't recognized when I tried to plug it in via FIREWIRE, but it would work fine if I used it via USB. Is this a docking station issue? May be a power overload? Please let me know what you think.

Connect directly through SATA port and see if it spins up and if it gets detected.
