icare recovery, xtm files and folder

I performed a Quick Format in Windows on a hd and now running a recovery using iCare. It's a large drive (WD 2Tb), mostly full. I am not the owner so I can't tell exactly if the recovered file and folder structure is exactly as original. The software has been running for 3 days straight, so far 700gb is recovered. But, there are some iCare software artifacts which I would like to understand what they are.
There are many, many folders with this format:
[XTM] original folder [XTM]_001
Any idea what they are?
