Any one conversant with repairing of Western digital HDD 500GB ROYL model ROM problem. Heard that "Chinese SALVATION DATA HD DOCTOR" are available in INDIA at Rs.4500/- (equivalent 100USD) for rectification of ROM problem of WD HDDs. I am interested in purchase of one such model.

WD HDDs are most suspectable to ROM problem.

Members may narrate their experience with Chinese SALVATION DATA HD DOCTOR, or any other software for rectification of ROM Problem, with any of the other software like trex, wdr-udma etc, if any. Heard of some vendors in INDIA, doing business with the Original SALVATION DATA HD DOCTOR, but I myself could not find any in INDIA. Anyone having any idea of any such vendor in INDIA ...........PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE PM me name and address.

FIY - ROM issue is probably the least common issue in WD failure. Other failure may imply having to work with ROMs, but that is a different story.

BUt these companies line ACE/Dolphin should make moderate profit while selling their Products.
