Need firmware WD15EADS-22P8B0. Is it necessary to have a PC3000 card?
Does anyone have the full version of the package maybe SeDiv?

What is the problem with your drive and why do you think that your drive needs a firmware fix ?
Do you want to recover the data or just fix the drive ?
Can you tell us the model of the drive and if it's spinning and if you can ear any clicking, etc ... ?

Hello, this is my second post did not have time to say hello. My name is Peter and I come from Polish. My English is how to say, lame and are backed by some with the help of google translator. So that, I'll start by saying that I drive in the settlement of my best friend, and frankly I do not know what his original story, so I will start from the moment when the disk came to me, this drive comes from a family WD Green series its full model is WD15EADS-22P8B0. Well, when you connect the drive to your computer, the disk accelerates normally, you can hear the calibration heads, shoulder knocks heads, feel normal vibration, but as you can see in the attached picture

The disk is now detected in this way, Please note that the picture shows a different picture than have charging BIOS on the computer, so I just wanted to show what it looks like.

Programs like mhdd in this way detect disk

. and in this case also wanted to show me how it looks Drawing on a picture taken from the internet.

Next, flipping through the internet I came across a program SeDiv WD DEMO version 3.9.1, which among other things to detect the drive also helps to detect loading the module SA, Flash and others, and what you see on the pictures attached:

A colleague writes what I want to do with the disk? Already I write, so I want to fix this drive because I know that this is the way to go. Data that are on the disk for me are not important and can be deleted, cleared, I do not care for them. I want to use disk as anyone knows.
That is why we need this firmware, or a copy thereof, and optionally a soft, that will help just upload it.

Since I will add that the disk is not a scrap purchased with the words DO NOT TESTED, just as I write, I will also add that, Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I am an unemployed boyfriend, who can not afford the expensive equipment type DFL-WDII or PC3000-PCI. That is why I am looking for the forums has just this type of assistance which any well-wishers. If I have any more questions about the drive or its label, please write it. Regards Pikus_09 (Poland)

Most likely your drive have a firmware problem that will require some knownledge and tools to fix.
Not a thing that you can do from one day to another without experience.
If data is not important and if you don't have any money to invest on tools, than best choice is to buy a new drive.
Also you can try to use the tools from here :

http://malthus.zapto.org/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=28

Dump the firmware and post a firmware dump so that we can check if there is any problem with any of the modules.

At any rate i think that the best option will be to buy a new drive and move on. It's not like a cellphone that you can flash.

Best regards.

Ok tomorrow I will try to attach the files, but it seems to me that the drive does not charge service area. I should add that the drive is SATA.
I realize that buying a new drive is out of the situation, but if this art is mechanically efficient? Only stupid initiation ...

BTW. If a topic is in the wrong section, please move it. Thank you very much for your kind help, pikus_09 (poland)

Try Mavr_r.zip
Please make sure that you have set on BIOS the SATA port to IDE compatible.
Best regards.

Module 30H - Translator:Service Area is damaged so translator is gone. Also some modules related to the calibrator and self-scan are damaged, but shouldn't pose any issue with the drive.
Maybe head i weak or you have bad sectors on SA, but without translator module drive will not be detected neither will have it's capacity displayed on BIOS.

If SA doesn't have bad sectors i think i can fix your drive, but it's not DIY and you would have to ship it to Portugal and pay postage back to you, and you would end up with a repaired drive that can die at any moment.
Best thing to do, buy a new one and move on.
As you stated, data inside the drive it's not important.
Best regards.

47H apears to be damaged too (Adaptives).
Are you using the native PCB or did you do something to the ROM ? Did you swap PCB ?
I could try to fix it using the info on MOD 40, but at this point i think that someone already messed up with the drive :(

Spildit, those MODs are ROM MODs, not SA MODs.

NazYura's MAVR utility was written for older drives, so its checksum computation for ROYL MODs will always fail.

Instead you need to compute a 32-bit little-endian checksum:

Code:
C:\Downloads\WD\WD15EADS-22P8B0>C:\Downloads\CHKSUM2 -32 *.mod
0A_0001.MOD:    512 bytes       checksum32 = 0x00000000
0B_0001.MOD:    512 bytes       checksum32 = 0x00000000
0D_0001.MOD:    512 bytes       checksum32 = 0x00000000
30_0002.MOD:    1024 bytes      checksum32 = 0x00000000
47_0002.MOD:    1024 bytes      checksum32 = 0x00000000
4F_0002.MOD:    1024 bytes      checksum32 = 0x00000000
90_0064.MOD:    51200 bytes     checksum32 = 0x00000000
B5_00FF.MOD:    130560 bytes    checksum32 = 0x00000000
C0_007A.MOD:    62464 bytes     checksum32 = 0x00000000

Exactly.

That log was produced by a utility that analyses ROYL modules as if they were pre-ROYL modules. That's why it only attempts to find MODs with single-byte IDs, and that's why it looks for the checksum in the wrong place.

Moreover, the utility is unable to access any SA MODs, which suggests that the drive's firmware is broken and does not allow SA access in the normal way, ie you may need "low speed" mode or "CHS" mode.

:(
I guess you are correct.
I would have to test it further here with WDR or something like that ....
Don't think that i can fix it by remote. :( Unless OP have something like WDR, Salvation, etc and is willing to do a TeamViewer session.
I will need to see the how the drive reacts to the tools to fix this one, and i don't think i will be able to do so only with freeware.
Sorry :(

Check PM and add me to Skype.
I can try to fix it with WDR and Teamviewer.

Ok !
Update on this.
Used Teamviewer and checked modules with WDR.
Couldn't access SA.
Checked ROM. Figured out that drive had WRONG HEAD MAP
Fixed Head map.
Now drive can access all modules and all check ok (green).
Corect model and firmware version is now detected instead of XYZ,
Waiting for OP to re-boot the machine but think that i've fixed the drive.

Now backup all data if needed because drive will die soon (lots of BAD SECTORS).

Well, if i had the drive here i could test with more ROMs and check it properly, it's hard with teamviewer and without at least an extrenal programmer.
If you want to send the drive i can check it for you, but it can be more expensive than a new drive and there are no guarantee that i will fix it too ....

Ok ... after some more testing we figured out that ROM is wrong and so Head map was wrong because PCB is NOT NATIVE !!!!

Friend "swapped" PCB .....

Drive - WD15EADS - 22P8B0
PCB - WD10EADS-11M2B2

Well .... now you know :)
