hi all colleagues first of all , Merry Christmas and happy new year to all of u i'm new to HDD repair but not working with datarecovery and this question here is one of the most difficult problems to solve for me so, i hope to find an answer here . every software i've tried to repair the problem of bad MBR fail to read or write to my drive . if i have a HDD that have a bad track zero or MBR , how can i rewrite a new MBR if i don't have a backup ?or recover from a bad sector @ track zero? is there any software that may help to solve this problem? does any one have an english patch for PC3000 russian version to convert to english language? hope to find any answers with all the best of luck regards |

if u want repaire and didn't need to recovery data. erase p-list & g-list with com terminal from pc-3000 for windows or salvation seagate . use mbrtool (wipe track 0) . but if u will recovery dont erase p-list/g-list, backup u track 0 to file with mbrtool. and u can wipe it. restore u track 0 if finished. http://www.yudiharddisk.com |

If you want the data, try to extract the data to a good drive first before doing any repair with physical method, you can use Power Data Extractor. I have just got an exactly same case done. 
For bad sector in MBR, actually I found out that I can add it into the P-list directly
