Is the site down / hacked / broken? I can't get there direct or via a proxy. Can anyone recommend a working proxy to get there?

I have the same problem. That's a few days that I cannot access it.

The site is probably hosted on a home PC (zapto.org 3rd level domains are dynamic DNS) so maybe
that person has problems or is not home.

It is a pity, that site has very informative and useful content.

It isn't a problem, it is purposely offline getting some maintenance.

HddGuru is much much better, has years of proven uptime, has moderators to keep it safe, is looked at by many pro's around the world, and is built on a solid IP address. Malthus.zapto.org is overrun by amateurs, has very little professionals on it, has dangerous posts with unreliable advice, promotes tools and software that may be dangerous, and is run by a free dynamic DNS service most likely in someone's bathroom. You decide...

Due to personal problems i had to take some "vacations" from Data Recovery, not only HDDOracle was offline for a while but also i was not able to participate here.

There are still some issues left to solve with the hdd oracle server, as one hard drive still needs replacement/cloning but i guess that all is working way better now, as the internet connection of the server was greatly improved, and that will prevent denial of service attacks, and also the server itself was improved.

Again, there will be the need to be off-line just for some hours for a drive replacement sometime soon, burt apart from that the oracle is back and working.

I will have to take some time now to read and reply to the messages left here as i was away. This might take some time too.
