 Post subject: hard disk recovery

Hi all..
I have WD PASSPORT 0748 HDD it was working flawlessly till morning .. In the afternoon for checking some files I plugged in the hdd.. It was detected as a local disk.. When I tried to open it showed u need to format to access the disk... I was shocked on seeing it... Plzzz help me out to recover my disk... I tried different cables and ports... Its getting detected in device manager and all the used space and free space in the properties is shown full and 0 kb...

Hi, try partition find and mount, or DMDE, and take an image of it. save that image on another disk. use GetDataBack to recover files from that image, or try to use Partition find and mount to search that image, mount it and recover files directly from the mounted image..

you will need space for this, prepare everything before trying numerous things on the disk, and be sure of your plan and understanding before you start.

As far as I'm quite aware of this hard disk problems. I think you might have lot of tools for solving this problem better try to solve your problems with the tools.

could you explain in detail exactly what you mean up to 3 decimal places, and in a font suitable for a 46 year old double-decker bus?
