HDD GURU FORUMS

Hello to all this may concern, I am a real dunce at all this computer lark but i am trying to improve!! my samsung HM100UX hard drive has broken (USB connection has come away from green board) is there anyway i can repair it as its full of my stuff which i dont really want to lose.Any news will be grately welcomed.

Hi,
It is possible to repair the USB connector. I have done it for another member of the forum, drive was fine to use afterwards.
Post some pictures of the damage.
I solder under a microscope and depending on if any of the layered board is broken, it may be relatively easy to fix
