Post subject:  WD3200BPVT-22z SATA drive password unlock or recovery

WD3200BPVT-22z sata drive has hdd password set on gateway laptop
after trynig to figure out how to finally get scripts into the script directory and get a working image
mhdd gives me “error: no drq” when running any of the scripts (.dump,.dump2,etc..)
trying to use zu.exe doesnt work after a few hours , put it in a pentium 4 machine also no go

even tried victoria hdd tool on hirens to unlock
also default WDCWDCWDCWDC and h2oinsyde password not working

i would like to see what password was set , any other way to dump the bin?

If you can prove ownership? just take or send it to a DR Pro who has the tools & knowledge to do this for a fee.
is the data important? if not & you want to try DIY then you will need to do a lot of researching.
Members on this forum cannot prove you are the owner of the hdd drive & helping you to bypass the password could end them in a lot of trouble if the drive turns out to be stolen. Please note I am not saying that it is so no offence is meant.

I should have mentioned in first post , this is not my computer, I do pc repair and it is for a customer of mine. I'd just assume pull the drive and install a new one and reinstall windows, I figured Id help the guy not incur the cost of doing so. :lol:

if data is not significant, exchange drive and reinstal o.s.
because as said here we can not verify owner
