Tools for hard drive diagnostics, repair, and data recovery

Last week whit the same pc I can read all pcb rom of my hdd, yesterday I power on my pc and sediv was not able to read rom but only to identify hard disk identity disk: successfully) . I have the same settings of bios. I tried with good disks but with same result.
Where I can looking for problem ?
