RAW recovery, File List and Diagnostic Questions

January 5th, 2015, 15:51

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for the following:

Diagnostic: Besides hardware like PC3K, are there any recommendations for diagnostic software? I see MHDD and HDDScan on the homepage. Which would you recommend?

RAW Recovery: We mostly use R-Studio and UFS explorer for RAW recoveries following a drive format. However, the results vary so widely. R-Studio's scans pull up 93TB of data on 500GB drives. This is a problem for some of our DDI recoveries. Any recommendations?

File List: It would be nice to be able to provide a file list to our clients for each recovery but the tools we use atm don't seem to provide them (DDI, r-studio, UFS, GetDataBack). Any recommendations?

Thanks.

A recommendation for R-Studio: select only those file types that have to be recovered. Or you'll have a lot of false positives.

R-Studio does have this feature: File Recovery Lists.
