Hitachi Travelstar Firmware

I have an Hitachi Travelstar HTS543232A7A384 in Acer Gateway NE56R. My HDD is working slow.I want a firmware upgrade for it and HDD Advance power Management(APM) is set to 128 i want to set it to 254 or disable it permanently.permanently. Pls help me to do this or help me with providing a firmware upgrade with patch. 
.And its average responce time is about 1000-2000 in Windows 8.1 32bit.
