Was the drive that failed part of a striped RAID array? If so, I doubt you'll be able to do it yourself but you are welcome to try. I'd recommend that you try one of the following programs which can reconstruct broken RAID arrays: R-Studio, Raid Reconstructor (Runtime Software), UFSExplorer, or ReclaiMe Pro

Incidentally, if were a member of my forum they provided a free unlimited trial of ReclaiMe Pro to all members: http://www.data-medics.com/forum/viewto ... f=15&t=160 I'm not sure if you had to already be registered when they offered it though. Might be worth a try.

NO, THE HARD DRIVES WERE NOT PART OF ANY KIND OF RAID ARRAY. i TRIED RECOVERY WITH THE SOFTWARE YOU MENTIONED BUT I COUDN'T RETREIVE ANYTHING. Basically I had multiple dynamnic disks combined togheder into a single dynamic volume(spanning).
