Am trying to install an application from a CD (the software for Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W320/W330 camera). The installation gets stuck on a particular file. PMB.cab. I have tried copying the files to the desktop of my laptop (OS Windows 8.1) but the copying processes get stuck on the same file.

Is there software that might repair this? Normally I would download the Sony Software (the whole program) but I am in a situation her in Africa where I have poor internet and my allowance for downloads is very small (the program in question requires 340MB which is nearly my limit for a week here).

1. get all the files off the cd you can, and make note of the ones missing.
2. get someone to zip up those and send them, assuming the downloadable one and cd one are the same.

if you tell me the exact download link I will do it for you

You also might be able to get Sony to send you a CD or someone else.. if they didn't do it, given your circumstance, then it a bit poor IMHO. I would probably be able to send you a cd with it on, but I would think there is better ways available to you. Do you have public library or something in London/Africa

Check the IsoBuster software. It can do wonders on CD/DVD's..
