WFW311 had Norton Utilities; similar for W7Pro needed

November 8th, 2015, 14:25

Long ago, during my Windows 3.11 - Windows for Workgroups 3.11 days, I had numerous Norton Utilities, one of which was a powerful hard-drive reader/writer [?Disk...?], which from DOS, could directly read from and write to the hard-drives back then.
I need something similar for Windows 7 Professional. Forget DOS. Looking for Windows version, DVD and USB boot portable version. Not expecting free. Don't mind paying for something powerful, effective, efficient.
[I have bad eyes, if there is already a thread about this, I missed it, sorry!]

DMDE - DM Disk Editor and Data Recovery Software:
http://dmde.com/

DMDE has a number of freeware features such as disk editor, simple partition manager (e.g. allows partition undeleting), a tool to create disk images and clones, RAID constructor, file recovery from the current panel. Paid editions support file and directory recovery without the restriction, DMDE Professional Edition has additional features to recover data for clients.

DMDE supports NTFS, FAT12/16, FAT32, exFAT, Ext2/3/4, and works under Windows 98/..XP/..7/..10 (GUI and Console), DOS (Console), Linux (Terminal)

Hey Guys!
I purchased DMDE Express version for 3 computers license package.
I'm having lots of trouble getting my desktop and two laptops recognized, registered by DMDE.
My eyes are bad enough that I cannot readily see the DOS-version menu board, do not know to activate their top menu bar.
Can one or both of you walk me through getting DMDE Express recognized and registered.
I did several steps for my desktop, and now, I'm back to Free Version instead of Express Version.
If it's easier via email, PM me, and I'll give youse guys my email address.
