 Post subject: Testing 2.5'' ( Notebook) IDE Drives

how can i test the drives ide 2.5'' for notebook without waiting so much at pc's ( with HDDScan ) how can i know if that drives is clean and work with operating systems,without bad sectors or something else ? i have drives like Hitachi / Seagate / western Digital with 80 GB capacity with IDE interface . :)

If you want to test 2.5 IDE drives you should get a 3.5 to 2.5 adaptor or IDE cable to plug the drives directly to your test machine/desktop unless you plan to test them directly on the laptop.

If you want to pocket out some real money and if you manage to find someone still selling OLD USED units of HRT 3.0 or 5.0 UDMA you can do BATCH TESTING as i've just finish explaining here :

This is one of the BEST WAYS to conduct un-attended testing (all you have to do is to switch the drives that you want to test for another one).
