Greetings everyone, A friend of mine, gave me his HDD because he broke his laptop and extracted it, the problem I am facing is : The HDD has 3 partitions: 1. System Reserved Partition ( G: ) 2. Partition were windows is located ( I: ) 3. Partition with data ( K: ) I can access the data on on first 2 partitions, but the 3`rd one is in RAW state, the windows asks me to format it... I tried using testdisk but didn`t succeed, maybe I was doing something wrong... What can I do to restore the data? https://i.gyazo.com/cf25282cb70667697254025fafb8e259.png This is a image of the partitions, sorry for it being in Russian ... |

Check SMART values. Have to identify whether the drive has a hardware problem, bad sectors, etc. |

Drive has bad sectors. Now we need to know whether read-write mechanism is good. Not easy to test without pro tools. With a little bit of knowledge we can get some idea. Suggest testing drive with MHDD by running short partial scan tests. Or buy pro tools. |

...or clone the drive using ddrescue and do a raw scan on the data partition of the clone with GetDataBack or similar. |
