Dear Sirs, Are there any means to make EMC some how changed SAS HDD usable in other solutions? Ar far as I know they use 520 byte sectors instead of 512 and most likely changed firmware. A healthy EMC HDD is being detected as failed by any other RAID controller. Don't want to destroy expensive drives (security regulations) just because EMC is so greedy. Yours faithfully, Vadim. |

Have a look into "sg_format". |
