Any new informations, or methods, for WD internal ROM pcb like 701499, 701640, 701537?
Because i have a few PCb in bad internal rom, and sediv and wd marvel are not support repair BAD internal ROM, previous methods are not helpful, because drives are not locate in external rom, or not propertly initialize. Understand me?

I want to know if are there any new information on the repairs of internal ROM.

This is too old my dear, here is a sample solution:

701499

Solder ROM chip on its place (prefer if you Program it with Programmer with its Match ROM i.e. Write Denali Family ROM)
Remove Both R13 & R6


701640

Solder ROM chip on its place, same steps as 701499
ADD 22k resister to R74

Connect and your done

for the 701640, Did you try Diff. types of ROM chip (SST, Winbond) ?
am refering to my old notes, its been long time really

well, checked in SST 25FL20, and Winbond 25X20
result is such Wdek nor work(WD5000AVDS-63U7B0)
