I have a dying 512-sector drive, which I have to replace by an 4k-drive
My first 4K-drive and because I'm aware of possible mis-aligment issues I hope to find here an answer to the partitioning software available for that, considering :
-I'm using a lot of legacy os'es (from Dos622 till Win10, Beos, Os2, all kind of Linux)
-which can be used for any brand of HDD
-which can take care of correct 4k aligment of partitions
-which can take care of correct partition-size (multiple of 4k)
-which creates partitions correctly aligned for the os'es specified
-which can also be used for legacy 512
-I prefer software which can be used in WinXP and higher
-Ideal a bootable ISO which might be Linux-based
If possible, based upon the same considerations above, I'm also interested in valid Imaging/Ghosting software which could do the the job for 512to512, 4kto4k and 512to4k imaging
