The best I can tell, Spildit is the only user of this software and tends to speak quite highly of these "Jimmy Joe" data recovery tools that he plays with. So, it makes no sense to me why the author of the program refuses to provide him with updates that he paid for, even if it was purchased through a reseller.

Up to now, there were several positive threads about this software on his forum. I never heard of this software and only knew existed because of Spildit. I doubt that I would have purchased HRT anyway, but I can assure you that the response of the programmer is enough to deter most everyone on this forum (I assume) from ever wanting to invest into it, which is a pretty big part of the professional data recovery community.

Thanks for the post. I just want to make clear one thing, this software is SHT/SHRT and it's a exclusive Samsung tool with simmilar functions to PC-3000 Samsung tool. This tool is made by USSTO and it shouldn't be confused with BVG HRT that i allways use and talk about.

BVG HRT is hardware card based and is a complete set of tools + data imaging/extractor like PC3K. This SHT/SHTR is a software only tool to work wih Samsung drives only.

well the Baud Rate of 57,600 is obviously right and 38,400 wrong.
F3 is for Seagate.

VSC by ATA and NOT by terminal.

Of course drive must report RDY by ATA first ...

My guess is that you don't have IDE compatible set on BIOS or MHDD is not picking the correct drive.

If SHT DEMO can see the drive then you can use SHT ATA terminal.

At any rate that will not "save" the drive or "fix" it for data recovery ....

If you need the data you will need professional data recovery services and not regular computer repair shop work ...

Also if HD Tune can see the drive and SMART then MHDD should be able to see the drive as well if set correctly ...

well i use G41-mainboard-775 i put HD how Primary and secondary SATA, no is slave,,. i think that MHDD4.6 no work on slave? But I'll confirm this and put the result ...

more I'm really interested In your answer about samsung,,and i no know what mean VSC,RDY...For a beginner and difficult to understand,,

It will NOT help you out to recover your data.

Try to clone/image the drive with ddrescue/hddsuperclone if the drive can still be detected by the BIOS/OS.

If you still want to clear smart by VSC you might need to take care of A-list first...

So hddsuperclone is to linux ... i want only clear samsung later will post about westerdigital and seagate on other topic .. at moment only my samsung is turn ON,,WD and seagate is clicking recognize how LBA0 on mhdd.

- Go to "Defects List", "Clear G-List" and "Clear G-list 50".
- You might have to Clear SMART too, so do it; "Actions" - "Clear S.M.A.R.T." .
- Power off and on the drive. The firmware issue should be solved.
