I made a mistake with Disk Utility MAC OS X

Hello to all,

I had HDD 1TB with 2 partitions.
A partition: 985Gb with data
B partition: 15Gb empty

I wanted to resize B partition with Disk Utility, after I did, it left me with 2 empty partitions without any files ...

What is the best way to recover ? I tried with TestDisk 7.0, but it took very long time 8 days and only 50% of deep search...

Maybe is there more effective software to recover partition ?

Thank you!

Take a look at it with the R-Studio demo. Searching for the partition probably will take a long time.

Thanks for reply! I want to search with R-Studio for a file by word inside, because it is text document but without extension.

Is it possible to search in the middle of the file for a word with R-Studio ?

I don“t know that. You will need to try, or wait for someone to suggest some other approach for that kind of search.

Testdisk 7.1 has been available for quite a long time. Give that a try.

What OS are you using Testdisk on? I have had differing levels of success using the same version on different OSs.

Have you ever used Testdisk successfully before, that is to say, do you know if you are using it correctly for what you wish to recover?
