I am in research on buying software equipment for erasing data from Sata ,IDE, SAS HDD's which can also provide me with a certification of data deletion.
As well as i am looking for degaussing HDDs.
Any suggestions?

Only way to check empty drive or not to calculate checksum.
So you need 2 software:
1) wipe data to zeros
2) certificated software to check is drive empty or not.
