Hello Guys!
Got a Macbook Pro A1708 laptop, my customer deleted a folder from it.
Now, this laptop have 256GB flash drive soldered to the motherboard.

I want to clone this drive, sector by sector in order to scan it for the deleted files, but i cant find any software that can do that without instillation on the OS.
And you know, of course i don't want to write anything on the flash drive.

Can you share with me any software Or any idea how to do this cloning task?

HDDSuperClone can run from a live CD.

Thanks for your reply, but neither of the tools can see the Macbook storage.
I can see the external drive and the USB dok, but the Mac flash storage is hidden.

Any tips?

Is it an NVMe drive?

R-Studio Emergency can clone disks even in its Demo mode. And it does recognize and correctly work with NVMe devices.

because if TRIM is enabled...

It's REALLY not necessary.

Turn off the unit.
Power it on.
IMMEDIATELY press & hold the OPTION key.
Once you see graphics is too late...
If the graphics indicate that it's BOOTING it's too late to choose...
If you see choices of boot image you're good...
Make sure you have a BOOTABLE OS attached (10.13.6 or 10.14+)
If you use an OS that's 'old' it won't work ...
Ubuntu may work...
Once you have it loaded, I'd unmount the SSD if it's mounted...
then use whatever tool you want: R-Studio / SuperClone / DDrescue

If you need a bootable image for the unit tell me which model and i'll see if I can confirm with my unit that it'll boot.

But remember -- it's ALL about when that specific / SINGLE unit was manufactured; whatever OS was out when it was sold is the minimum OS version that you can boot it with ...

When new units come out this is a real problem bc you may not actually
be able to download that update from the Mac Store. Sometimes Apple's computers come with an OS that's newer than is publicly released ...

In those events, use OPTION-R to load in to the recovery image and then install the Restore-OS to an EXTERNAL drive...
